CMC Vellore has advertised for the post of Clinical Occupational Therapists (only 15 posts).
This is a 1 year term post with a healthy stipend. Candidates selected will get a 1month rotational posting to work and train in the following areas
1. Adult Outpatient Service
2. Paediatric Outpatient Service
3. Adult Inpatient Service
4. Paediatric Inpatient Service.
5. Mental Health
Which includes inpatient service, outpatient service, community psychiatry, intellectual disability, Autism Care and neuropsychiatry rehab.
6. Child Health Services
Which include Developmental Paediatrics, Paediatric Rheumatology, Paediatric Onchology, Neonatology and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
7. Community based Rehabilitation
8. Comprehensive Rehab Care for patients with brain and spinal cord injuries.
A certificate of experience will be issused to the candidates on completion of the one year term.
Clinical exposure would include attending the grand rounds with the multispeciality team, presenting at the rounds, clinical meetings and discussions.
You will also get a unique opportunity to attend the weekly run multidisciplinary clinics - Amputee clinic, High Risk Infant Clinic, Brain Injury Clinic, Stroke Clinic, Autism Clinic, LD clinic, Haemophilia Clinic, Pain Clinic etc.
You will also get an opportunity to work with the latest testing tools which includes Peabody developmental scale, BOT-2, SITAR, LOTCA , and most of the internationally recognised hand skill and functional assessment tools.
You will have the opportunity to work with treatment tools like
1.Hand tutor
2. 3D Tutor
4. Latest Multichannel EMG biofeedback
5. Balance Trainer
7. Latest Virual reallity systems like Prosense and Virtuotouch.
